Reporting directly to the Managing Director of the Offshore Management Company, the successful candidate will head both the Human Resources & Crewing Units and be responsible for a wide spectrum of dual HR & crewing tasks, including:
Human Resources · Plan, organise and manage the day-to-day HR functions in compliance with corporate HR policies and procedures. · Formulate recruitment, training, succession and development plans, and employee benefits. · Ensure HR policies and procedures are disseminated and complied by all employees. · Maintain up-to-date personal data file for employees and crew, and arranging for submission and processing of claims. · Arrange staff recruitment for Line Managers and conducting new employee orientation for Managers and Executives. · Prepare documentation relating to employment contracts, confirmation, promotion, termination, retirement, etc. · Apply to Immigration Department for employment and dependent passes for foreign employees and their families, prepare tax clearances and notify tax department of cessation of employment for non-citizens. Crewing · Oversee the crewing activities for vessels within the Offshore Fleet, including handling of Singapore flag vessels, SMOU/SOS/ITF matters and liaising with agents, Singapore Marine and Port Authorities. · Verify crew documentation/qualifications; handle visas and flag certificates. · Ensure proper coordination of travel for all officers and crew, and monitor officers on vacation, crew P&I and medical claims. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource or other relevant disciplines. You should have at least 6-8 years of relevant experience including at least 2-3 years in a management role. Prior experience in shipping and/or offshore crew management is essential.
