| Reporting to the Fleet Personnel Manager, you will work closely with the Ship Masters and Crewing Agents, and take charge of the efficient HR and crew handling functions for specific vessels. Responsibilities include the following:
· Plan, organise and manage HR functions in compliance with policies and procedures. · Keep crew officers’ and marine personnel files and computer records up-to-date. · Interview potential new senior officers. · Evaluate crew performance and recommend promotions. · Verify crew qualifications and documentation prior to employment. · Monitor crew P&I and medical claim documentation and handle monthly allotments for European Senior Officers. · Check crew coding and agents’ disbursements. · Arrange and coordinate travel arrangements for on-off signing officers and crew in liaison with Fleet Personnel Manager, the master and Port Agents. Keep in contact with officers who are on vacation. · Handle visas and flag certificates, SMOU/SOS/ITF matters, etc. · Liaise with agents in Singapore, Singapore Marine & Port Authority regarding crew matters. · Visit manning agents to conduct internal audits. You should have at least 5 years of relevant experience including at least 2-3 years in a management role. Prior HR experience in the shipping, sea-going and/or crew management is essential.
