Job Requirements:
Key Challenges/Anticipated Changes in Environment: 1. Expanding business operation and possible teething issues in all departments and functions. 2. Keep abreast of competition and providing useful input to the management under a changing business environment. 3. Ensure the appropriate operational standards are met amidst a changing environment. 4. Build up the bench strength in the back room operations in line with business growth. 5. Work with matrix organization and gaining the senior team's credibility. 6. Control team growth while supporting company’s ANP and premium growth. Experience/Knowledge Requirements: 1. Minimum of 10 years of operations management/leadership experience with insurance experience preferred. 2. Proven experience in managing large business volume. 3. Proven experience in delivering technology to achieve competitive advantage. Personal Competencies Required: 1. Ability to deal with diverse cultures and at the senior level of management (both internal and with business partners). 2. Excellent communicator with proven ability to enlist support of the senior level of management. 3. Capable of managing conflicts and changes, resolving problems in a changing environment. 4. Strong relationship builder with ability to influence and establish relationships with a diverse group. 5. Strategic thinker with ability to conceptualize and formulate plans and actions as a key management team member. 6. Ability to lead others with vision and integrate different functional groups to achieve results. 7. Capable of initiating, facilitating and working with others in change efforts. Education and Other Requirements: 1. Proven track record with a minimum of 10 years experience working in at a senior level in financial institutions and/or insurance companies. 2. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in budgeting, financial reporting, controlling and business analysis and preferably U.S. GAAP and/or experience as the chief operation person of sizeable organizations and/or auditor for back office operations. 3. Experience in business strategy development and planning. 4. Familiar with a dual reporting structure as well as Head Office reporting. 5. Experience managing cross functional groups a must.
