Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities: Provides managerial leadership of department staff; Communicates the goals of the department; Manages all day-to-day delivery of testing services; Ensures testing quality and on-time delivery of testing services; Ensures that an adequate number of trained and competent staff is available to match the workload requirements; Responsible for meeting established quality measures and on-time responses to quality issues. Leads laboratory staff to meet regulatory compliance; ensures lab is in inspection ready condition and meets CAP standards; Coordinates departmental activities in support of other functional areas; Participates as a member of the Management Team in quality assurance initiatives and other cross functional activities. Education/Qualifications MS degree or above in Medical Technology or Biology, Chemistry or other Life Science; Experience At least 6 years experience in a laboratory following clinical training, plus 2 years supervisory experience or management experience in a clinical laboratory; Prefer professional certification (American Society of Clinical Pathology or other recognized authority; Must demonstrate strong leadership skills as well as sensitivity and understanding of international and diverse culture in a global environment; Fluency in spoken and written English; ability to speak/write Mandarin is preferred Good computer skills with literacy and facility with software; Flexible work schedule to participate on international conference calls after regular work hours as required. |
