Job Description:
DK Education, China's fastest growing SAT training company, is currently looking for SAT instructors to run classes. We are also looking for instructors that are comfortable teaching academic writing, SAT II subject tests, and AP Literature and History. The chosen candidate will be responsible for improving the academic and conversational English of the schools students and helping to prepare them for the TOEFL examination. He or she will also be responsible for enhancing existing teaching materials as well as creating new lessons. Teachers who sign on for a second year will assume management responsibilities in addition to their teaching and curriculum development work, and will receive a raise in salary. Working Schedule: The teacher will not teach for more than 20 hours each week. The common working hours are 5 days per week and 3 hours per day. In the event that a teacher exceeds this amount, they will be paid overtime for the additional work. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree or above from top American Universities • Applicants must be patient, outgoing, and comfortable teaching Chinese students • Applicants with SAT or other test prep experience will be given preference • Applicants with intermediate or advanced Mandarin will be given preference • Applicants with familiarity with the Chinese education system will be given preference Teachers Benefits: 1) DK Education will provide all teachers with a Work (Z) Visa. 2) Teachers who complete a year-long contract will receive a travel bonus of RMB 10,000 3) Paid summer and winter holidays about 8 or 9 weeks without any classes 4) The teacher will not teach for more than 20 hours each week ( usually 15 hours a week, 3 hours Mon-Fri).
