Businesses Domestic Appliances and Personal Care Division Philips Domestic Appliances and Personal Care Division (DAP) focuses on three main areas: domestic appliances, shavers/depilation products and home/personal healthcare products. Innovative design, quality and excellent performance have enabled Philips DAP to establish leading market positions with its line of popular appliances such as shavers, hair dryers, steam irons and juicers. Lighting Philips is the world's No.1 total solution provider for energy efficient lighting. Its business covers six areas: lamps, luminaries, lighting electronics, auto lighting, special lighting and solid state lighting. Vision 2010: Royal Philips Electronics announced its "Vision 2010" strategy in September 2007. According to the plan, Philips aims to increase its EBITA from 7.5% in 2007 to 10% in 2010 and expects to more than double EBITA per share by 2010. Philips plans to simplify its business structure by creating three core sectors - Healthcare, Lighting and Consumer Lifestyle. Financial gains will be accomplished through improved profit management, increased contributions from acquisitions and a stronger product mix. Philips also aims to deliver a minimum of 6% comparable annual average sales growth and achieve a EUR 150 million to EUR 200 million cost saving for the period 2008-2010. The "Vision 2010" strategy aims to further position Philips as a market-driven, people-centric company with a strategy and a structure that fully reflect the needs of its customer base, while also increasing shareholder value. As of January 1, 2008, Philips will simplify its organizational structure by forming 3 core sectors with strong single-headed management: Philips Healthcare, Philips Lighting and Philips Consumer Lifestyle, we will no longer use the term Product Division.. Philips intends to integrate Consumer Electronics (CE) and Domestic Appliances and Personal Care (DAP) businesses into one Consumer Lifestyle sector. Philips will also combine Consumer Healthcare Solutions, renamed as Home Healthcare Solutions, with Philips Medical Systems, under the new name of Philips Healthcare.
