| A leading Education Centre with a key focus to deliver the University of Cambridge GCE A Level and IGCSE programmes in partnership with highly regarded Chinese Public High Schools is seeking Head of Academy and HR Director.
The Centre is now the leading provider of the AS/A Level Programme in China - operating in dedicated centres within the campuses of 11 Public High Schools. The Head of Academy plays a senior role of the company, and sits in the Cambridge A-Level Programme Management Committee. He/she will line manage the Academic Quality Manager (AQM) and all Centre Principals to achieve excellent teaching quality in all centres, as well as assume the following responsibilities in academic management: -Oversees development and implementation of long term plans for curriculum as well as instructional evaluation and improvement. -Oversees the quality programme, to ensure the highest standard and quality of teaching and learning. -Develops specific administrative procedures and programmes for academic management -Works closely with the HR director, to ensure the hiring of high quality teaching staff -Oversees systematic performance evaluation of teaching staff Assists HR and Operations Directors with employee relations, communications and administrative support for the centres. -Establishes and maintains liaison with other shareholders of the programme, the external examination body, colleges and universities, and the hosting schools. -An advanced degree with emphasis in education and leadership -Previous experience of large scale school leadership in an international setting -Training and experience with British curricular models -Dynamic and creative with the ability to make decisions that reflect the best interests for all concerned parties -Ability to solve problems with determination, creativity and in good-humour. -Good team-building skills and able to inspire confidence and trust -Excellent communication skills as a speaker and writer The initial contract would be for three years. The remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualification.
