Sourcing Supervisor SUMMARY Lead the formulation and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including the negotiation, execution, implementation and management of contracts PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Review internal cost estimation and propose technical solution for cost reduction and production efficiency 2.Review quotation from vendors and conduct aggressive price and term negotiation 3.Work in conjunction with quality assurance division to actively identify and qualify new vendors to consistently meet client requests. 4.Review and update current vendor evaluation procedures, make recommendation and implement improved vendor qualifications process. 5.Develop management procedures/KPI for existing and new vendors ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1.Responsible for identifying, evaluating and qualifying new vendors and implementing sourcing plans and policies for the product categories assigned to meet the Company's strategic objectives and customer needs. 2.Negotiate all elements of new supplier relationships including lead time, capacity allocation, pricing and resource allocation among others to ensure reliable service, quality and low-cost procurement. 3.Source and develop new product concepts, new materials and additional production capacity within a specific timeline for assigned product categories and support customers to timely launch new items to meet the product and service expectations of sales offices. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS 1.Higher Diploma or above in Engineering disciplines 2.Minimum 8 years relevant working experience in product development and management, preferably in food and/or steel industry 3.A team player and must have aptitude working with different cultures 4.Solid experience in molding, material usage, tooling and mechanism design and manufacturing process. 5.Good inter-personal and negotiation skills 6.Mature, responsible, reliable and self-motivated. 7.Strong communication skill with high proficiency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin WORKING CONDITIONS Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 30 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
