| Function and Scope
The Business Line Director (BUL), CIVIL ENGINEERING & INFRASTRUCTURE (UT) covers the territory of China (including Hong Kong) and is responsible for the successful development of the UT business throughout this region. II Duties and Responsibilities 1. Propose and co-ordinate the implementation of agreed business strategies across the 3 sub-regions, ie. Northern, Eastern and Southern China. 2. Coordinate in cooperation with Chairman of REHAU China and the manager of the LC UT the planning and operation of the LC UT and its assembly lines, as well as be responsible for its profitability 3. Co-ordinate market research and competitor analyses. 4. Work with each Sales Office UT sales and customer service employee to agree on short and medium term targets and the necessary step plan to achieve them. 5. Maintain close relationships with major/critical customers (Key Accounts) throughout China with a view to securing long term business contracts and additional growth where possible (key account management). 6. Harmonise price levels and the pricing policy across China. 7. Co-ordinate and submit market forecasts and trend analyses. 8. Lead new product development and implementations 9. Manage presentations and submissions on major projects or tenders. 10. Co-ordinate the promotional efforts across China including: Advertising, Literature, Exhibitions, Samples and Conferences. 11. Share responsibility for the efficient utilisation, profitability and overall success of the local production plant. 12. Conduct product and market training to internal staff as necessary. 13. Liase with the relevant marketing department in Singapore (PG UT) to ensure that the necessary support is received and that the activities in China follow the strategies agreed upon. 14. Report on the activities and development of UT China as per the reporting requirements set down. 15. Take all necessary steps not covered by the above to enhance and streamline the UT business in China with a view to improved financial performance and growth potential. Reporting a) 4-monthly strategic business review in accordance to country BU management b) Monthly business review according monthly report c) Monthly comment on business development to BU Manager d) Comments on weekly reports by the offices e) Defined project reports f) Travel Visit reports g) Reports on request by SBU, BUM, NMC Reporting Structure a) Immediate Supervisor: BUM CON, China b) Second Rater: Chairman SBU UT PM AA c) Job Holder: National Product Manager, UT China d) Positions directly supervised: Requirements A. Education 1. Technical bachelor / master degree in Water Treatment and / or 2. Business degree B. Skills 1. Technical and analytical skills proven in the WWT field 2. Motivation skills 3. Team orientation 4. Leadership skills 5. Sales skills C. Experience 1. Distributor handling 2. Tender Handling 3. OEM business set-up 4. Business organization 5.
