DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.The BDM must have the expertise to develop and manage comprehensive sales account plans that align with the corporate fiscal objectives. 2.The BDM must achieve the required sales metrics through successful selling. These metrics include but are not limited to new sales revenue, gross margin, client satisfaction and account retention, and growth. 3.The BDM must employ the YRC Logistics consultative sales process. The BDM will lead a cross-functional team to qualify, design, price propose and close business. The BDM is the ultimate responsible party of RFQ and solution proposal. The successful BDM will utilize excellent follow up and communication skills and will develop solid relationships deep into the client’s organization to win and implement business. 4.The BDM will actively participate with the operations team in the client launch process and periodic business reviews to ensure client satisfaction and to identify further areas for growth. The BDM will act as the liaison between the client and YRC Logistics. 5.The BDM will manage a T&E budget as directed. 6.The BDM will actively participate in industry related activities in order to promote the YRC Logistics brand and develop a personal network. 7.The BDM will actively participate in the company and enterprise sponsored activities that promote client relationships and employee team building. 8.The successful BDM will be skilled in facilitating contract negotiations and will work with key support teams to develop the scope / statement of work documentation, including the key performance indicators (KPI’s) that ensure the client requirements are understood, documented and that the solution can be delivered as promised. 9.Contribute to the identification, development, and implementation of logistics best practices. 10.To establish and maintain good relationship with customers to secure business and enhance business growth by working proactively with internal & external business partners to resolve customer issues. 11.Any other tasks as assigned from time to time. SUPERVISION: Direct Report to: Kenny Bao, Director of Business Development MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS -Minimum Bachelors degree in Logistics / Business Administration ; -3-4 years international transportation in China background in Sales position; -1-2 years logistics experience in sales and/or sales support position -Good oral & written communication skills in both English and Chinese; -Ability to work effectively in a customer driven deadline environment PREFERRED REQUREMENTS -Experience in 3PL Contract Logistics -Highly self-motivated, result-oriented, well-organized, committed, -Aggressive , innovative and risk taking SKILLS: -Client and Result driven -Consultative selling skills, customer focused, conflict management, good interpersonal skill, efficient & effective planning and organization, strong influencing skills -Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, or Logistics degree or the equivalent combination of education or experience. -Five or more years of proven sales, sales support/logistics experience in international supply chain/transportation industry. -Action oriented individual that is comfortable with ambiguity and a successful track record growth via innovative and consultative sales approach. -Demonstrated ability to sell complex supply solutions to C-level decision makers. -Demonstrated ability in project management. -Demonstrated capabilities and aptitude in financial metrics and analysis -Bilingual effective communication skills, both oral and written. -Outstanding interpersonal communication skills. -Posses highest levels of integrity and trust -Effective organization skills including the ability to prioritize projects, and respond to requests for information and clear timely reporting, lead a team and leverage organizational resources. -Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and Windows products. -Ability to travel, as business requires. |
