A young man living in Shenzhen put an advert online in which he offered 1 million RMB for any girl who would go home with him over Chinese New Year and pretend to be his girlfriend. The man put out the advert using the messaging service WeiJu with a breakdown of his reasons and the terms of the agreement.
The man says that he has been too busy with work to find a girlfriend and is looking for a specific type of girl to be his parent-pleasing-poser. His requirements are: 25 years old, 168 cm tall, no heavier than 50 kg, must look sweet and have a Bachelors; he also added that if she was a virgin or had a PhD then she would receive an added 10%. Wow, he is happy for a woman to have a PhD? He would also pay her 200,000 at the start of the journey and give her the rest at the completion of the ‘mission’.
While the hiring of boyfriends and girlfriends for Chinese New Year has been on the rise, many Netizens have come out and expressed their doubts over the authenticity of this post.
