The Suzhou University of Science and Technology has three campuses in the SND area of Suzhou.We are now less than 30 minutes from Shanghai on the new high-speed train system
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are urgently looking to recruit an English teacher to take up teaching duties in mid-April (18th) . This would be renewed for the 2011-2012 academic year by mutual agreement.
The minimum requirements are for a native speaker with a university degree (in any subject). TEFL training would be an advantage, but is not essential. The team Leader is a TEFL tutor and relevant training can be provided free of charge.
The basic monthly salary is 4,200 Yuan. This is augmented by a monthly commuting allowance of 500 yuan, plus end of term travel allowances and a performance bonus - together totalling an additional 11,200 Yuan.
We are a small team (4) teaching Freshman and Sophomore classes (18 to 20 year-olds) who are majoring in English, English Education or in Business English. Average class size is 30 students.
The maximum teaching requirement is 16 hours per week, spread through Monday to Friday. For this semester, the new teacher would be required to teach Spoken English only. A syllabus will be supplied.
All teachers have their own self-contained,fully equipped, 2-bed apartment. The university pays water and electricity charges.
Full medical insurance is provided through AIA.
Costs for Residence Permits (visa), government issued Teaching Certificates (Foreign Expert Certificate) and the compulsory medical examination are met by the university.
