Brief Introduction of Nanjing Xiaozhuang University
Nanjing Xiaozhuang University was founded in 1927 by Mr. Tao Xingzhi who was named by UNESCO as “one of four celebrities”. Now, it boasts a history of nearly 80 years.
Being a full-time ordinary institution of higher education of the undergraduate level, this university covers 8 disciplinary categories such as Culture, History, Education, Science, Engineering, Economy, Law and Management, with 17 institutes, 29 specialties and the total number of enrolment has been more than 13,000 full-time students. The total faculty members of the university have been over 1000. Among of them there are over 200 professors and associated professors. The university employed 39 visiting professors who are Chinese Science Institute academicians or famous professors or doctorate tutors. The university also employed over 20 foreign experts from the world.
Nanjing Xiaozhuang University has Xiaozhuang ,Mochou ,Fangshan and Zhongshan Lu ,four campuses covering 1500 Mu. Mochou campus is the educational base of foreign students education and Chinese-foreign cooperation .
Our university is now frequently engaged in international exchange activities and has set up friendly and cooperative relationships with 30-odd universities of more than 30 countries and regions around the world, and its education for international students and the scale of Sino-foreign cooperative schooling rank among the best universities in Jiangsu province.
Institute of Eastern Culture & International Exchanges is a window for the cooperation and exchanges between Nanjing Xiaozhuang University and other universities in the world. It not only provides language training and specialized education for foreign students, but at the same time, by making use of the long-term cooperation projects, it sets up with 24 universities of a dozen countries like U.S.A., France, U.K., Canada, South Korea and Japan, serves as the platform for Chinese students and international students studying in the Institute to exchange and learn from each other. At present, the institute offers 4 kinds of education, including Chinese refresher course, ordinary refresher course, Junior-college education and undergraduate education, and at the same time it provides long- and short-term training projects on the Chinese and Eastern culture. The Chinese training project is executed in classes of a small scale and it lays emphasis on both the HSK pass ratio and the cultivation of abilities for actual communication. Specialized education adopts the credit system and now has 3 specialties including Chinese language and literature, tourism management, international economy and trade,. In addition, international students are welcomed to attend at any time in all junior college and undergraduate specialties. Our institute now has a faculty of 42 people, among whom there are 14 foreign experts, 8 professors, 19 associate professors and 15 lecturers. The education and management mode here which emphasizes on affection to international students, classes of smaller scale in teaching, the procedure quality guarantee and characterization is warmly welcomed by international students.
