Qingdao University of Science and Technology (QUST) was approved as A1 Class unit to employ foreign experts since 1989. In the past 13 years, QUST has employed more and more foreign experts from America, Russia, Germany, Japan, Canada, Britain, etc. At the very beginning, QUST only employed language teachers, but now we are employing foreign experts in scientific research. QUST has 22 foreign experts in the school-year of 2002 to 2003. 7 of them teach in Foreign Languages College, 11 of them teach in the Qingdao Eastern Language College, 5 of them teach in the Sino-German Technology College.
