Located in Tai'an City of Shangdong Province, Mount Tai tops the Five Sacred Mountains of China. Customarily, it is called Mount Tai of the East. The sunrise of Mount Tai is one of its four wonders. More often than not, tourists would trudge all the way from afar to view the spectacular scene of sunrise on the mountain.
At dawn, as you climb to the top of the mountain, you would see the clouds rolling and tumbling like the waves of the sea. A gleam of sun rays gradually emerges from the horizon on the east. It turns from gray to white, from white to yellow, from yellow to orange, from orange to purple, from purple to red. The bright red morning sun bursts out from the mist, rising highly and turning into a round fire ball. It gives off millions of gold rays, and veils everything with the splendid morning glow.
