Huaihua Public University, located in the ancient "Yunnan, Guizhou and portals, all Chu throat," said the Huaihua City, is a provincial full-time regular undergraduate university.
It was founded in 1958, the predecessor of Huaihua Formal university, approved by the Ministry of Education upgraded to university in 2002.
Till September 2014, the school covers an area of 1100 acres of school building area of 420,000 square meters, divided into east and west campus University. With a collection of 1.23 million books , 2.32 million electronic books, 1,827 kinds of Chinese periodicals; teaching equipment research equipments worth up to 106 million yuan.
