Head of Information Technology
Job Purpose:
Maintain and ensure that the organization has the ICT systems, application, infrastructure and support services needed to achieve organization excellence. Control and manage vendor operations to ensure delivery of optimum service according to service contract. Prepare and control annual ICT budget as approved by CTO. Lead and develop a team of IT technicians to achieve their objectives in providing excellent service to the end users.
Duties:
· Know and understand the school Philosophy and Objectives, in order for technology to support the school vision;
· Think strategically and innovatively on school’s long term IT development needs. Make recommendations to the central office;
· Plan, coordinate, and design all operational activities of the local IT division as well as providing direction, help and support to team members to achieve the maximum productivity;
· Work closely with CTO / CIO and school’s decision makers to develop, implement and support the defined IT solutions, policies and procedures;
· Communicating with and managing vendors to ensure optimal service delivery according to service agreement;
· Communicate effectively with school customers on daily basis to find out school’s needs, conduct consultation, and provide some level of onsite trainings;
· Arrange for user training and induction as needed;
· Responsible for the effective delivery of superior IT-helpdesk type of support to all users concerning both hardware and software applications;
· Work with central office for the delivery of annual IT budget and the control of the IT spending. Keep good track of all school’s IT assets and configuration.
