Founded in 1973, the US-China Business Council (USCBC) is a private, non-profit, non-partisan, member-supported organization and the leading organization of US companies engaged in business with the People's Republic of China. Through close collaboration among offices in Washington, DC, Beijing and Shanghai, USCBC provides extensive China-focused information, advisory, and advocacy services, along with events, to more than 230 US corporations operating within the United States and throughout Asia.

USCBC’s Shanghai office seeks to hire a Manager, Business and Policy Research, reporting to the chief representative.


Primary responsibilities:

· Conduct research to answer inquiries from USCBC member companies on business operating issues and government policy

· Research, analyze, and write on China business topics and related developments; regularly contribute to USCBC’s newsletter and other publications

· Facilitate USCBC engagement with local and regional PRC government officials

· Assist in developing USCBC advocacy positions

· Assist with and participate in USCBC programs and member company business briefings

· Represent USCBC at conferences, external events, and meetings with member companies

· Handle administrative functions and other responsibilities as required
