The Consulate General of Canada in Shanghai is seeking qualified candidates for
General Relations and Advocacy Officer, LES-08
COMPETITION : 2011-LES-GR-001
OPEN TO : Chinese or Canadian citizens residing in China and spouses of diplomats at the Canadian missions in China who are legally able to work in Shanghai.
WORK LOCATION : Shanghai. Short-listed candidates should be able to attend interview/test in Shanghai at own expenses. Successful candidates must be willing to relocate at own expenses.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The General Relations and Advocacy Officer’s primary concern is to effectively use cultural promotion, academic exchanges and media exposure to advocate on behalf of Canada in Shanghai and the Yangzi Delta region. The incumbent works closely with the PERPA Consul to coordinate activities across all sections of the Consulate and project an image of Canada and advance Canadian interests in China.
