PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The assistant marketing manager will conceptualize, formulate and implement marketing strategies and workplans together with his manager. He (she) will conduct marketing activities to attract and secure investors to take up space in the various Ascendas parks in China.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Formulate marketing strategies
Main Activities:
Assist his (her) manager to set strategic direction and workplan for the group.
2. Build pipeline of potential customers and securing deals to fill Ascendas’ business space.
Main Activities:
Cold calls to potential customers
Networking with industry players
Networking with multipliers such as International Property Consultants, Industry/ Business Associations, Government Officials, etc
3. Research
Main Activities:
Conduct research to understand the market demands and requirements as well as the industry of potential clients.
Formulate target list
Formulate marketing messages
4. Marketing Materials
Main Activities:
Create good marketing materials that resonate with potential clients.
5. Branding
Main Activities:
Organize marketing events
Formulate marketing programmes
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Western Candidate is preferable
2. At least 3 years working experience in a marketing or related environment.
3. Good knowledge of some of the following industries – BPO, ITO, Professional Services, Software, Info-communication and Technologies, High-end Manufacturing.
4. Good communication skills
5. Good interpersonal and networking skills
6. Macro outlook and systematic research skills
7. Good written and spoken English.
