East West Theatre is casting stage actors for a double-bill of one-act plays
WE ARE CASTING FOR:
Zoo Story by Edward Albee
· Two (2) male lead characters.
· Ages between 30s - 50s
· We welcome all Ethnicities
The Chairs by Eugene Ionesco
· One (1) female lead character
· Ages 30s and upwards
· We welcome all Ethnicities
You do not need to prepare any materials beforehand . During the audition, we will provide sides for cold reading.
Audition dates:
Thursday, June 30 -- 6:00 - 9:00 PM
Wednesday, July 6 -- 6:00 - 9:00 PM
About the plays:
Zoo Story: in this classical absurdist tale of alienation in a modern city, two strangers take part in a seemingly innocent conversation that soon takes a sinister, deadly turn.
The Chairs: in this classical absurdist tale of memory, decay and hope, two friends take part in a seemingly innocent conversation that soon takes a desperate, deadly turn.
Location: Clubhouse
LongBai Gar dens (situated inside the Cypress Hotel)
Availability:
Main rehearsals will be during evenings from the beginning of September until the performance in late September or mid-October , averaging 3-4 rehearsals per week . There may be additional rehearsals in July or late August .
Co-op model:
The project will be run on a co-op basis. All profit will be divided equally among company members
