The China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) is the UK's leading organization providing independent China Business information, advice, consultancy and services for UK industry.  It is works closely with UK Trade & Investment to deliver a wide range of practical cost-effective services to British companies wishing to export goods and services, to invest in China or establish manufacturing arrangements with China.

CBBC has seven offices in the UK and have a presence in eleven cities in China.


Internship Position - Beijing or Shanghai

Commencing: 2011                     

Duration: 6 months – 12 months

CBBC is seeking a talented graduate to assist the project teams in China with new client proposals and ongoing research projects.  A key responsibility of the successful candidate will be to help with the editing of outgoing reports, ensuring that the reports meet a high standard of language and presentation. They will also contribute to project research efforts and sector newsletters.

In addition, they will be responsible for compiling a suite of reports, covering the major aspects of conducting business in China.  These reports will be provided to UK companies new to China, in order to help familiarise them with the market and the key challenges they will face, whilst helping to dispel some of the myths associated with doing business in the region.

The intern may also be more the opportunity to represent CBBC at events of conferences.

The CBBC internship position offers a unique opportunity to learn about the China business environment and doing business in China.  The intern will gain exposure to UK companies of all sizes and from a great range of industries.  Our list of clients includes companies from the energy, metals, pharmaceutical, financial and consumer goods sectors.  Clients may be entering China for the first time or looking to launch a new product or service from an existing presence in the market.  Working with this broad spectrum of businesses will provide the intern stimulation environment.

The job holder will report to the Office Manager in the city.  The fixed allowance for this position will be RMB2, 300 / per month as intern position.
