The Quality Manager will be tasked with creating a cutting-edge supplier development and quality management program that will contribute significant value to customers’ operations and gain widespread international attention in the sourcing and procurement field. Success in this position will demand a passion for excellence, strong professional drive, keen business sense, solid engineering and quality management experience, and categorical dedication to continuous improvement.  APR is a fast-growing multinational company, and this position requires a flexible and creative approach to a dynamic business environment.


Responsibilities

1)   Design and implement a comprehensive supplier quality management program, including performance monitoring and benchmarking, corrective action management, and an on-site audit program.

2)   Design and implement an effective and efficient first article inspection (FAI) and pre-shipment inspection program for all APR Asia products.

3)   Design, implement, and maintain an ISO 9001:2008 compliant quality management system, including quality manual, document management system, and standard operating procedures.

4)   Achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification within 6 months.

5)   Create and manage APR Asia’s quality management auditing and consulting services program.

6)   Support customer engineering design assistance requirements alongside APR US Quality Manager.

7)   Manage all APR Asia customer quality issue resolution and provide support as required for APR US customer quality issue resolution.  


Requirements

1)   Proven, sustained record of high-quality work with excellent follow-through and strong drive to complete tasks. Demonstrated commitment to excellence.

2)   Exceptionally strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

3)   Great attitude, ability to self-motivate and self-direct, positive outlook, and strong communication skills.

4)   Extensive applied process engineering, supplier quality management, auditing, and automotive component design experience.

5)   Ability to interface seamlessly with customer service, manufacturing, engineering, sales, and quality departments across the APR organization to solve customer problems and achieve timely results.

6)   Good computer skills – must be extremely proficient with office computer systems including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, particularly Microsoft DynamicsAX, is highly desired.

7)   Advanced written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.

8)   In-depth experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001, TS 16949, and ISO 14001 compliant quality management systems.

9)   6+ years of automotive supplier quality management experience and a graduate degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
