POSITION SUMMARY:
The Support Services Manager will have responsibilities for supervising and coordinating staff and contractors in charge of the transportation, housing, food, custodial, receiving, supplies and landscaping services of the School.
SUPERVISED, EVALUATED BY & REPORTS TO:
Chief Business Officer
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor Degree and a minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar role
? Demonstrated ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and supervise and manage a large group of local and expatriate personnel
? Exceptional organizational abilities
? Demonstrated knowledge of business operations with a demanding clientele (school experience preferred)
? Experience in working with PRC service providers and employees on establishing and monitoring service standards and expectations
? Ability to speak and read English and Chinese
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transportation:
? Coordinate the transportation services provided for students and staff, meeting the School needs
? Review contracts and manage services of transportation service providers
? Manage and supervise the transportation staff (internal and external)
Housing:
? Review rental contracts for school housing and ensure that the contracts are consistent with school policies and standards
? Allocate school-owned housing in accordance with policies and procedures
? Regularly review the school policy on housing (including housing allowance agreements between the School and the staff) to ensure efficiency
? Act as a liaison between housing compound management and the School
? Ensure and manage maintenance efforts for school-owned apartments
? Supervise and manage housing/maintenance staff
Food Services:
? Act as a liaison between the food service provider and the School
? Monitor food quality and services provided by the
? Review service contracts and ensure that they are consistent with school policies and standards
Others:
? Supervise the supply/warehouse staff and ensure that supplies (in/out-coming goods) are received and delivered in a timely manner
? Other duties as assigned by the Chief Business Officer
