TITLE : PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT I (PUXI CAMPUS)
SCALE: PRC Support Staff SALARY SCALECONTRACT DAYS: full-time
Position Summary:
The Procurement Assistant I (PAI) will be mainly responsible in coordinating local requests for special program purchase on music, art and PE. He/She will be assigned to identify most appropriate channel to get the right material a s well as exercise independent judgment in the resolution of sourcing, selection and order tracking while to comply with school policy. The PA I will support the Purchasing Manager in all the responsibilities of that position. The PA I will on a regular and continuous basis, exercise administrative judgment and assume responsibility for decisions, consequences, and results having impact on people, costs, and/or service within the functional area. The PA I should make decisions and establish work priorities on essentially policy/procedure-oriented operations.
SUPERVISED, EVALUATED AND REPORTS TO:
Purchasing Manager
Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s Degree .
? Experience in the procurement or demonstrated strong business acumen skills
? Fluent in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.
? Excellent communications and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external customers
? Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize
? Very good MS Office knowledge
? Ability to operate various software applications, such as Access spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.
PERFORMANCE Responsibilities:
? Identify qualified suppliers and purche Art/Music/PE line of products
? Identify opportunities on purchasing requests that could be transferred from overseas to local purchases
? Set up local purchase catalog for information sharing on frequent purchase items
? Complete purchasing processes in the system in compliance with School Policies and Purchasing Manual with files clearly documented
? Coordinate with other departments within the school to ensure smooth internal processes
? Communicate with teachers for changes, replacement and any other issues related to their purchase request(s)
? Other tasks as assigned by the Purchasing Manager
