Guizhou Forerunner College seeks dedicated volunteers with College English Teaching backgrounds to teach talented but underprivileged youth as well as blind/visually impaired students and ethnic minorities in Guizhou Province for one or more semesters. Volunteer will also have the privilege to teach English to some elementary schools and high schools in Huishui County.


Qualifications:

1) Bachelor's degree

2) 2 + years working experience (optional)

3) Be able to teach written and oral English to a wide range of students―including pronunciation and grammar, and through group exercises and discussions

4) Commit to at least one full semester of teaching, Longer stays are encouraged.

5) B e flexible, and have a positive personality and loving heart.

6) Must speak Standard English

7.) Certificates in the field are a plus.

 ** Candidates are not required to speak or understand Chinese.

While Guizhou is the poorest province in terms of GDP and per capita income, it is also one of the richest in terms of minority culture and physical beauty. Surrounded by freshwater springs and situated within a national forest, the college serves as a perfect place for students, professors and volunteers alike to study, live, rest in and explore and enjoy the natural splendor of rural China.
