Due to its fast expansion in China they are currently looking for a high caliber individual to fill the following position:

Managing Director China -  Based in Kunshan

    THE POSITION

The Managing Director China will hold full P&L responsibility of the company. His main task is to develop new OEM and aftermarket clients in China domestic market and set up the new site operations. He is responsible for business development, sales, CAPEX , operations, techniques and the build up and enlargement of production capacity. He should develop company’s leading position in China market and ensure overall business achieves the desired profit and cost levels and upgrade the company to the next level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

General Management

• Initiating and implementing strategies to develop company’s market position in China domestic Tier 1 & Aftermarket industry and upgrading the company to the next level.
• Overall responsible for sales & marketing, finance and site operations
• Interacting and cooperating closely with group Headquarter to ensure the alignment with corporate strategy and long term business goals.

Sales & Business Development:

• Developing new domestic OEM clients including Chinese local OEM companies.
• Fostering and strengthening long term relationships with existing key accounts in China.
• Analyzing market trends to develop sales campaigns and marketing strategies that result in revenue and profit margin and organizational success
• Achieving annual sales target
• Developing domestic Aftermarket clients & channels in China.
• Ensuring China export business meet internal clients’ demands.

Finance:

• Full P&L responsibility.
• Overall responsible for budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX, financial analysis & reports, cost costing, controls & auditing and cash flow, etc.

Operation:

• Responsible for new site operation set up.
• Supervise site construction, operation, process optimization, technical development and production capacity enlargement.
• Drive Continuous Improvement and Cost Saving activities
• Warehousing & inventory and logistics management
• Keep abreast with latest technological developments to maintain company’s competitiveness.

Organization Building :

• Employee recruiting, development and training
• Building and optimizing organization system and process.
• Integrating, motivating and leading the management team to success

PERSON SPECIFICATION (Essential Personal Abilities/Aptitudes/Skills)

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, MBA is an advantage.
• Native Chinese speaker. Fluency in English is a must.
• +15 years work experience in multinational automotive Tier 1 and/or OEM companies.
• +5 years experience as General Management.
• Previous P&L experience is a must
• Solid track record in Sales & Business Development is a must
• Excellent relationship and network with local and foreign OEM companies in China is a must.
• Set-up and growing experience is a must
• Ability to take the company to the next level.
• Familiar with CAPEX, cash flow, finance reports and internal audit reports.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing process including quality control, material control, process control, labor relations, etc.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Highly motivated, results oriented and entrepreneurial working style
• Strong leadership and analytical skills, self confident and ability to work under pressure, ensuring a solid and consistent performance
• Engaged, dynamic, open-minded, hands-on and ready for a long term commitment
