Education:
·Minimum requirement of a Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering, Masters Degree in Business preferred.
Language:
·Fluent in written and spoken English, and preferably Chinese, Japanese or Korean spoken language.
Personal Characteristics:
·Must be a tenacious and motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and/or in a cross-functional global work team environment, and travel on a regular recurring basis. Must possess the ability to personally manage and direct a geographically distant rep sales network. Experience and judgment to lead the planning and directing of the organization’s regional strategic long term goals. Must have a strong understanding of highly engineered products. Strong analytical skills. Comfortable using a Team approach to problem solving.
Work Experience:
·Minimum of 10 years of progressive business and administrative experience with an engineered product manufacturer preferably of transformers, generators and their application. OEM sales channel. Project management in engineering, sales and marketing experience is essential.
Principal Area of Responsibility:
·Developing and implement a business sales and marketing strategy and infrastructure required to facilitate the sale of transformer and generator coolers to the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) and Major Utilities markets in Asia.
·Manage the established network of reps in the Asia region ensuring they contribute to the growth of the business in the region.
·Aggressively sell and promote the mission of the company.
·Aggressively develop, sell, and promote through the existing rep sales teams the products of the business that serve the China and Asia Pacific market.
·Work with internal teams to generate strategic recommendations for new business and business development opportunities.
·Establish and deliver financial results commensurate with expressed commitments.
Specific Duties:
·Prepare specific sales and marketing plans for building the presence in Asia.
·Prepare internal and external customer presentations to stakeholders regarding the status of Asia sales.
·Analyze sales to ensure top and bottom line growth.
·Analyze company products and recommend strategies to increase sales.
·Recommend new products and technologies.
·Develop strategies to increase market share for specific products.
·Prepare marketing studies and reports.
·Work with manufacturer representatives on strategies to increase sales to Company customers.
·Participate in the review and analysis of new business opportunities.
·Customer visitation.
·Trade show participation.
·Short and long range business planning.
·Coordinate sales and marketing activities in Asia to support the product line and meet customer requirements.
·Participate on cross-functional teams to solve business issues and identify opportunities.
·Develop sales and marketing policies and procedures.
·Benchmark “best in class” marketing practices and develops implementation strategies.
Physical and Mental Demands:
·Incumbent must physically and mentally perform the job demands as listed above.
·Ability to travel on a regular and recurring basis (China, Japan, Korea, South East Asia, Australia and India).
·High stress, patient and tolerant demeanor is required.
·Regularly communicate on “real time” basis with N.A. offices 12 time zones from Asia Office .
