Senior Investment Manager
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise , the national economic development agency for New Zealand, is seeking a Senior Investment Manager to join our team in the North Asia region. The Investment team aims to attract international investment to New Zealand and assists New Zealand companies expand their operations overseas through direct foreign investment.
The purpose of the position is to provide regional or sector leadership to:
· Promote NZ as a credible Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) destination and attract FDI to New Zealand;
· Provide expertise and support in FDI / Outward Direct Investment activity to NZ businesses with the objective of creating economic benefit for New Zealand.
The role is responsible for championing the Investment strategy and leading the co-ordination of activity across the key investment sectors/ regions. You will lead NZTE’s North Asia investment team that covers Greater China, Japan and Korea. You will also lead the Investment sector/ regional team’s engagement. Other responsibilities include preparing an annual business plan and developing and managing relationships with qualified potential investors.
