(In downtown Hangzhou, this is a big expense! You will get to live downtown, in Xianhe district, instead of an hour+ outside of town in XiaSha with horrible air pollution. Other schools will say they are in "Hangzhou", but they mean the greater Hangzhou area, which can put you anywhere from 1-2 HOURS outside of anywhere you'd want to go for good shopping or entertainment. This place is DOWNTOWN. If you've never been to China, that matters!!)

REAL job description. (You won't find an honest job description from many schools in China. I am a teacher and I'm giving you the truth.)
Kids Castle is a private English training school in Hangzhou's downtown. I am an American teacher working here part time. I have been working in China for 5+ years teaching in all kinds of schools. I moved to Hangzhou a couple weeks ago and signed a contract with a university an hour outside of downtown, then I found Kids Castle to work part time. They need a full time teacher now, and I would take the job but I already am locked into my university contract. I have dealt with many schools in China, and there are so many unethical practices. They will lie to you about the location in the city, the air quality, the real hours, the pay, etc. This school has been totally honest with me. The job is really just playing with kids from 3-14. There are 6-7 Chinese girls in their 20's who are teachers who work here. They are really nice and fun. They set up everything for you and keep track of the kids lessons. You just show up 30 minutes before you teach, and they lay out all our flashcards and props and tell you exactly what to do. You then take the props and flashcards and play games with the kids based on the new words for the day. You don't have to stay for additional office hours at all. This is rare for a private English school in China. Just a meeting every Tuesday for 1-2 hours to discuss anything new that comes up. Hangzhou is cleaner than any of the other 5 big cities I've worked in/near in China. West Lake is great, there are mountains to hike nearby, and it's only a few hours from really big famous mountains, including the Yellow Mountains. There is a bullet train that goes 400kmph and gets you to Shanghai in 50 minutes. Joan, the manager, is super helpful and will help you get settled. What you need to be is responsible and enjoy playing with kids. You just need to be goofy and fun with them. They are naturally goofy, so it doesn't take much. The responsible part, while really very easy, is key though. Show up for work. It's 16 hours a week. Cake. Don't make a deal with Joan and then ditch out. This school is the most honest organization I've dealt with in China, and they deserve someone who can keep up their end of the bargain
