INTO University of East Anglia Regional Officer (China)
The University of East Anglia (UEA) is an internationally renowned university based in a campus that provides top quality academic, social and cultural facilities to over 13,000 students.
UEA is ranked amongst the top three for student satisfaction according to the first National Student Survey and in the top 20 in the UK by the Sunday Times. It also came top of the most recent research effectiveness league table published by Research Fortnight.
Located in 320 acres of rolling parkland but just two miles from the centre of the cathedral city of Norwich the University is adjacent to the Norwich Research Park which is home to over 1,000 scientists working in several world ranked institutions.
Purpose of Post
To increase student recruitment into the University of East Anglia by direct means or
through INTO University of East Anglia pathways, offered by the Norwich Centre.
Marketing Region
The majority of work will be based around the region of China, including Hong Kong and
Macau. Office based in Shanghai with travel around the region and occasional visits to the UK.
The Position:
INTO is looking for a dynamic individual with experience in sales and marketing able to communicate effectively the benefits of an education at the University of East Anglia to our partners, students and their parents. The applicant will be a highly responsible individual with strong understanding of the UK education system. Key responsibilities include the following:
1. Supporting INTO's network of Regional Offices across China
2. Supporting the University International Office's activities in China
3. Supporting INTO University of East Anglia (Norwich) activities in China
Your Profile:
· University graduate (University of East Anglia preferred), with excellent communication skills in English and Chinese;
· Strong track record and experience in sales and marketing;
· Understanding of international student recruitment;
· Organized with attention to detail;
· Strong numeracy and IT skills with ability to prepare and analyze reports;
· Demonstrated record in managing enrollment and cost budgets; and
· Willing to travel extensively.
