Legal Counsel
Job Description:
? Provide legal advice for the Company (e.g., interpret laws and policy, communicate compliance requirements, contracts, business transactions). Work to prevent future legal problems through training, communication and participation on teams. Help Company identify, understand and assume reasonable legal and business risks.
? Conduct training and education, develop standard legal documents, develop and disseminate informational publications and participate on business teams. Anticipate and help the Company avoid future legal problems.
? Counsel HR management and ensure the related HR policies, procedures and contracts are in compliance with China Labor Law and regulations.
? Resolve disputes with external parties. Investigate the facts, analyze the law, perform a risk analysis and develop a company position for approval. Efficiently and cost effectively resolve disputes through negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, or litigation, with or without the assistance of outside counsel.
? Retain outside law firms, following Boeing Shanghai required procedures. Establish and track plans and budgets in accordance with business goals. Supervise external counsel performance (e.g., makes strategic decisions, provides direction) and monitor costs. Efficiently and cost effectively resolve disputes.
? Direct and/or conduct internal investigations. Follow Company policies and employ investigation techniques to discover and analyze facts and report findings and recommendations.
? Research, prepare and file all legal documents and provide advice when needed for required regulatory filings. Represent the Company before relevant government agencies. Understand the business and legal issues, develop a strategy for approval and represent the Company interests before the agency.
? Engage with business partners to communicate and exchange information on matters of importance to the company, specifically including but not limited to commitment authority, compliance issues, corporate governance and risk allocation.
Qualifications:
? Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in both Chinese and English
? Highest degree of integrity and ethics. Highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
? Capability of effectively managing Boeing Shanghai Aviation Services’ business interests while maintaining a customer focus.
? Possesses clear, concise and persuasive written and oral communication skills. Possesses strong analytical and problem solving skills.
? Capable of identifying and evaluating business risks and making decisions or recommendations addressing them.
? Demonstrates leadership ability to manage processes, programs and people through cooperation, consensus building and team work.
? Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to the tasks at hand, even under stressful conditions.
