Summary : ?The Associate Director is a team leader responsible for the management of client relationships. Associate Directors manage client projects by supervising project teams and junior staff, and delegate projects and tasks effectively. The Associate Director is responsible for identifying the strategy which supports the client’s objectives, developing communication plans, properly scoping and pricing work, as well as managing work activities and resources within agreed upon budgets. The Associate Director should also be able to identify and pursue opportunities for new business. In addition, the Associate Director should show demonstrated strategic abilities, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. The Associate Director interfaces with all levels of staff and serves as the primary client contact and manages the client relationship.
One of these two positions will lead company’s corporate responsibility practice. For this position, we are looking for candidates with strong CSR background to supervise our corporate responsibility practice and work on China’s social media in addition to handling corporate communications responsibilities.

Qualifications and Requirements:
? Minimum 5 - 8 years relevant experience in a consulting firm, corporation, diplomatic post or media role
? Strong media relation skills
? Demonstrated fluency in written and oral English and Chinese
? Minimum of bachelors degree (post-graduate education will be an asset)
? Demonstrated strong research and analytical skills
? Demonstrated knowledge of/experience working on corporate responsibility programs
? Demonstrated knowledge of China’s social media
? Demonstrated knowledge in a sector of relevance to APCO's work, for example:
- Energy/clean energy
- Food and beverage
- Financial services
- Industrial/chemical
- Information technology/telecoms
? Relevant professional experience in international in-house corporate or consulting function with focus on external affairs, public affairs, and / or regulatory affairs
? Understanding of the business environment within China
? Strong network of contacts
? Professional and confident demeanor
