Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement R&D strategy, in line with the corporate business strategy
2. Lead a R&D project team, in charge of new product development and commercial realization.
3. Determine new product specification and related manufacturing process.
4. Optimize the existing manufacturing process, in order to meet the local market requirement and raw material availability.
5. Cooperate with the technology department in the headquarters, participating in global research and engineering projects.
6. Work together with the production department to solve process-related problems.
7. Organize and manage the Laboratory, providing technical service to relevant departments.
8.Develop, manage and maintain the quality system and documentation. Assure the organizational processes and procedures are aligned with ISO 9001 requirement.
9. Plan and direct all QA/QC activities, including IQC/FQC/SQE, quality training, and non-conformity handling etc.
10.regularly review and report quality statistics and analysis.
11.Develop, coach and motivate team members to meet high level work standard.
12. Report to General Manager and will be a key member of the management team.
Requirements:
1. MSc or PHD degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or other related areas, preferably in electrochemistry
2. More than 10 years working experience in product development and engineering, at least 3 years in a project management role with a reputable international company; Managerial experience in leading a chemical Lab is a plus
3. Good knowledge and practical experience with quality management system
4. European expatriates in China are preferred
5. Strong leadership, communication and coordination skills
6. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
7. Good project management and time management skills
8. High level of integrity and loyalty
9. Can work under pressure and deal with complexity
10. Excellent oral and written English capability is a must;
