Responsible for designing and creating bags and accessories line and establishing functional and aesthetic designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect relevant information needed to design bags and accessories products.
- Prepare designs through sketching by hand and by using design computers such as Prima Vision and Apple Mac.
- Create working drawings and colored sketches for design presentations.
- Draw-up mood and presentation boards to support design presentations.
- Produce sketches/drawings for product catalogues.
- Ensure that all relevant information needed for the development process is submitted in a timely manner to Product Development and ensure that appropriate levels of interaction and communication are maintained with Product Development.
- Collaborate with Product Management on all issues regarding the realization of defined collections.
- Assist with design presentations to support the launch of products.
- Produce trend, travel and research reports in an accurate and timely manner
Professional background / Experiences:
- Related work experience in accessories design
- Practical experience in an accessories design environment
- Strong knowledge of accessories design with strong feeling for fabrication, colour, trims and relevant innovation
- Background in Design of accessories
- Strong Knowledge of fit, fabric, washing's and finishing's
- Knowledge of Macintosh computer and design software/systems Photoshop, Ilustrator
Education:
- Bachelor or university degree B.A. in industrial design and at least four years
