ChinaBio, a well known consulting and investment firm based in Shanghai, has launched a new merchant bank, ChinaBio Capital Group (CBCG). We are seeking an associate to play a key role in our M&A and fund raising transactions in the healthcare and life science industries in China. Our clients include global, multi-national firms seeking to expand their business base in China, as well as China firms wishing to attract funding or partners in the West.
This key position reports to the president and will be responsible for:
§ Participating in financial transactions and support our clients from beginning to end
§ Preparing complex financial analyses reports and models
§ Conducting in-depth due diligence on candidate companies
§ Preparing detailed memoranda describing the business or investment opportunity
§ Preparing and making presentations to clients and prospects
§ Researching potential buyers, sellers, and investors
§ Researching industry participants, markets and trends
§ Participating in various marketing and recruiting activities of the firm
§ Assist in negotiating and structuring transactions
§ Identifying financing, acquisition, divestiture, and joint venture candidates

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
§ MBA in finance, accounting, business, economics or related fields
§ Advanced degree in life sciences or healthcare
§ 3+ years of prior work experience in corporate finance, accounting, consulting, or investment banking
§ Fluency in written and oral English and Mandarin
§ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
§ Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and descriptive business memoranda
§ Very strong quantitative and data management skills
§ Expertise with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
§ CPA, CFA, or Series 7 a plus
