Sinovel Wind Group Co., Ltd. is the first high-tech enterprise in China engaged in independently developing, designing, manufacturing and marketing large-scale onshore/offshore series wind turbines which could adapt to different wind zones and environment. With robust growth, Sinovel manufactured and erected 1403MW wind turbines in 2008, which made it rank No. 1 in China and No.7 in the world. In 2009 the newly installed capacity of Sinovel was 3510MW, remaining No.1 in China and ranking No.3 in the world.

Sinovel provided all the 34 sets of 3MW wind turbines for the Shanghai Donghai Bridge offshore wind farm, the first offshore wind farm outside Europe and the first one in China, and all the turbines have been connected to the grid and put into operation. In addition, Sinovel is building the \"National Offshore Wind Power Technology and Equipment R&D Center\" which has cutting-edge technologies, state-of-the-art equipment, and leading R&D and laboratory capabilities.
