The Boland School International T.E.F.L. Diploma Course is a 148-hour, intensive four and a half-week teacher training program held in Dalian – Bayuquan. In Bayuquan-Dalian, one can experience the culture, cuisine and relaxed lifestyle of the northern part of China. The location provides comprehensive job placement and a job guarantee at top teaching posts in the country.
The International T.E.F.L. Diploma program itself is a comprehensive qualification that is well-respected worldwide. The course includes both online and on-site components, and covers everything you'll need to get started in the classroom:
• E.S.L. Level assessment,
• Effective T.E.F.L. class planning,
• Grammar,
• Activities for the EFL classroom,
• Role plays and games,
• Audio-visuals,
• E.F.L. Testing,
• C.A.L.L. – computer assisted language learning
The course includes 10-12 hours of hands-on classroom experience in practice teaching presentations and another 8-10 hours of observed lessons teaching both Chinese adults and children.
In addition, interested trainees in the International T.E.F.L. Diploma program have the option of receiving the T.E.F.L. - China Certificate as an optional program. The China-TEFL program is a 20-hour certificate program which covers survival Chinese language lessons, an introduction to Chinese students and Chinese-specific language difficulties, background on the Chinese school system, and even a condensed history.
The combination of an International T.E.F.L. Diploma together with our jobs site and job placement network enables our graduates to get started in a new career in the T.E.F.L. field in Asia, and elsewhere, directly after graduation.
